Enjoying the Greenery

As I wandered through a park near Minehaha Falls in Minneapolis, I noticed a mother and daughter taking in the beauty of a summer day. As I watched them share the moments together they looked to me like a walking painting , so I painted them taking in the beautiful greenery. Here they are watching some children actually splashing and playing in a pool of water.

I like the composition and the way you've positioned the two as a focal point. Nice work!

Beautiful. I love the subtle way you capture the image without unnecessary details. I am terrible with wanting to paint EVERY detail and have had a hard time capturing the "essence" of a subject which makes my paintings a little less painterly sometimes.

can almost feel the sunshine, beautiful contrast of light and shadow in the background.
