Sailing

Just finished this painting that I started way back in August before the twins arrived.  We went and watched the sail boats on a Wednesday this summer.  I waddled all the way out to the end of the pier to take pictures 7 months pregnant with twins.  Loved the shots I got.  It was so worth it.  I finally was able to finish this painting today.  It helps me think warm thoughts when it's 10 degrees outside.

Farm painting

I was asked to do a three painting picture of a local farm.  I drew it out.

 I did the sky first and some under colors in the foreground.  I had to push the colors a little because the picture I was working from was gray skies, tan buildings, and winter.

 I started working on details of the house and trees and bushes, kind of making things up as I went.

I then added details in other buildings.

Finally, I put in the words at the top.
