This is a painting I did of the St. Joseph Lighthouse for a class that I taught.
I decided to practice some portraits...why not practice on my children? Here is Ian. I like how it turned out!Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Weavings and Bird Collages
I had the students draw three pieces of fruit and then trace it on another paper. They painted both papers with similar colors but used different shades. Then they wove them together...cool effect!
I had the 7th and 8th grades do these bird collages. They picked a water bird. I had pictures of ones that had fun shapes. They drew the bird and then used tissue rippings for the background. Then they did the bird using magazines that they cut. Some could even have words on them. I LOVE how they turned out!

Uncorked Art
ART PARTIES
New business idea. I've had quite a few people come up and talk to me about this concept of drinking wine and painting. They have companies all over the place that do it. We just don't have one in our area. So, instead of buying a store front and doing these wine and paint parties there, I've decided to be a traveling artist. I will help small parties paint a picture and will go into people's homes to do it.I already have a few people who are ready to host a party! We'll see how it goes!
