Wow, I have been really bad about doing anything with a blog.  I decided to get rid of my website because I wasn't using it to make up for what I was paying to have it.  Then I opened a facebook page.  That's working out pretty well.  I update it way more frequently than this blog!  My goal is to try to be better about posting here.  We'll see how I do.

I just entered a painting competition with these two paintings:

The lily pad one was just one that I thought I'd try one day.  The raccoon is one of those paintings I consider "a baby" because I took the photo of the raccoon in my tree outside one day, and spent hour after hour painting the hairs and adding layers to the bark to make it just right!  I really like this painting and have had it proudly hanging in my dining room since I finished it.  I hope the judges like it too!  I find out May 6th if I get into the competition.  We'll see!
